Some history on the Redcliff Church of Christ Campsite.
Camping began in the 1930's with family camps on the beach ajasent to Roy Lawries farm property. Army tents were used for sleeping. Meals were cooked on open fires.
In the 1950's a small camp kitchen was built. Still no toilets or water was available at that stage. 1964 saw Roy Lawrie donate the land that is now Redcliffs campsite. Soon after a large Kitchen and Hall was Constructed. Later a toliet block & Dormitory were added. Since then 2 cabins and a laundry have been added.
