About Us

Some history on the Redcliff Church of Christ Campsite.

Camping began in the 1930's with family camps on the beach ajasent to Roy Lawries farm property.

Army tents were used for sleeping. Meals were cooked on open fires.
In the 1950's a small camp kitchen was built. Still no toilets or water was available at that stage. 1964 saw Roy Lawrie donate the land that is now Redcliffs campsite. Soon after a large Kitchen and Hall was Constructed. Later a toliet block & Dormitory were added. Since then 2 cabins and a laundry have been added.

The camp continues to attract group camps as well as families and caravans. The beautiful beach is safe for swimming & fishing. Boats can be launched and all water sports can be enjoyed.
The future for Redcliffs is looking to be a prosperous one. As well as maintaining the existing buildings, continued upgrades and beautifications of the whole area is planned.
More toilet facilities, a BBQ area and tree planting are all on the agenda.
